In our industry, it’s standard practice to pay suppliers on a net 30 EOM (end of month) basis. Not to mention tax payments, VAT, salaries, and other similar expenses. I found myself constantly searching for funding sources, trying to get through the month and reduce debt, all while trying to bridge the gap between the monthly payments I received from my patients and the payments I needed to make immediately. Many of my patients have become friends over the years, and it has created an awkward situation when they asked for discounts or payment benefits that I couldn’t accommodate.
